Ferrari Unveils Major Aerodynamic Upgrades for Las Vegas GP
Scuderia Ferrari brings significant aerodynamic improvements to Las Vegas, aiming to close the gap to Red Bull in the final races of the season.

Ferrari has introduced a comprehensive aerodynamic upgrade package for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, representing their most significant development push of the 2024 season. The Italian team, currently fighting for second place in the Constructors' Championship, hopes these improvements will provide the performance boost needed to challenge Red Bull's dominance.
Key Technical Changes
The upgrade package focuses primarily on the car's floor and rear wing assembly. Ferrari's aerodynamic team has redesigned the floor's edge wing and diffuser sections to generate more downforce while reducing drag - a critical balance for the high-speed Las Vegas circuit.
Team Principal Frederic Vasseur explained the development philosophy: "We've been working on these upgrades since the summer break. The Las Vegas circuit presents a unique challenge with its long straights and tight corners, so we needed to find the perfect aerodynamic compromise."
Performance Expectations
Initial wind tunnel data suggests the upgrades could be worth up to three-tenths of a second per lap, potentially bringing Ferrari within striking distance of Red Bull on certain circuits. The team's drivers, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, have both expressed optimism about the package's potential.
"The car definitely feels more balanced with these changes," Leclerc noted during practice sessions. "We can attack the corners with more confidence, and the straight-line speed seems improved as well."
Championship Battle Intensifies
With Mercedes also bringing upgrades to Las Vegas, the battle for second place in the Constructors' Championship has intensified dramatically. Ferrari currently holds a slim advantage, but every point will be crucial in the remaining races.
